Find us Orange Sky’s Cairns service supports people across the community experiencing homelessness and hardship through access to clean laundry and genuine, non-judgemental conversation. Clean laundry Genuine conversations Under our collaborative partnership model, Orange Sky always operates alongside other service providers, including food vans or community centres, to provide support to those doing it tough. We know that by working together as a community we can make the greatest impact. We aim to create a safe and supportive environment at every shift. Anyone in need of support is welcome to join us and access our free laundry and shower facilities, or simply find a space for community connection. Key things to know about Cairns Launched in 2019 Providing free laundry and conversation Operated by a team of dedicated volunteers Facilitating over 1,605 hours of conversation each year Remote Vehicle Our Remote Vehicle 3.0 (RV3.0) brings essential laundry services to remote Australian communities. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers, and uses advanced solar technology to enhance service reach effectively. Our remote vehicle in Cairns is named ‘Barry’.
