Our work We are committed to connecting people all across the country, particularly those living in remote Australian communities where access to laundry facilities can be limited, expensive and unreliable. Our focus is on creating purposeful partnerships, where our service is tailored to the needs of the local community – whether that’s a mobile laundry truck or a stationary pod located at a partnering organisation. Use my location Search in faster text-only view --> "> Text View Directions Volunteer here What to expect Our services Our remote services are tailored to suit the needs of each community - whether that’s a truck that’s purpose built for the remote Australian terrain or a set of washing machines in what we call a laundry pod. Check out the different ways we offer our free laundry services. Remote Vehicles Containing three washing machines and three dryers, our Remote Vehicles are designed to deliver our service in remote communities in Australia. These vehicles are solar powered and deliver hot washing to improve hygiene. Laundry Pods Our laundry pods are static, standalone structures that remain at a location for an extended period of time. They are equipped with two washing machines, two dryers and of course - six orange chairs. Indoor Laundries By placing washing machines and dryers within our partner organisations, we create a space for people in need to be able to access laundry facilities and genuine conversations. Reconciliation Pathway Orange Sky’s Reconciliation Pathway is our commitment to improving health and social outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across our culture, policies, opportunities and spaces in which we operate.
