How the cross-subsidy works
Your subscription funds the free tier.
Every paid subscription directly funds free access for First Nations organisations, grassroots groups, and community-led projects. The Community tier gives full platform access, not a watered-down version. Your investment in Empathy Ledger is an investment in community-owned storytelling infrastructure.
01You pay
For analytics, API access, white-label options, and priority support.
02Communities get
Full platform access with sovereign data ownership and cultural protocols.
03Everyone wins
More stories shared, more impact measured, stronger evidence for change.
Common questions
Is the Community tier really free forever?
Yes. Communities who need Empathy Ledger will never be asked to pay. This is a foundational commitment, not a marketing tactic. The cross-subsidy model ensures this is sustainable.
Who qualifies for the Community tier?
First Nations organisations, grassroots community groups, and organisations with annual budgets under $500K. If you are unsure, reach out. We will work it out together.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data belongs to you. If you cancel a paid plan, you are downgraded to Community tier with full access. Stories, media, and cultural protocols are never deleted without your explicit consent.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time through the billing dashboard. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Do you offer annual pricing?
Not yet, but we are open to it. Contact us if annual billing would work better for your organisation.
